Kamloops, BC (Sa-Hali Secondary)
5’9” Libero
3rd year (Business)
Age: 20
Ludvig and her brother John trained this summer both in Kamloops and in the Czech Republic. Her brother was drafted in the third round by the NHL Florida Panthers this past summer. She committed to the WolfPack in October 2016 after she helped her Sa-Hali Sabres team to a provincial “AA” title in 2016 (where she was voted MVP). Ludvig is a two time U SPORTS Academic All Canadian. She was a provincially and nationally ranked tennis player for 10 years (she gave up a U.S. scholarship to play for the WolfPack). Growing up, Ludvig played 12 different sports and she lived in eight different houses. Her favorite visiting gym is Mount Royal because of the colors. Katie’s favourite community event is “Toys 4 Kids’ because it is a ‘heart warming event seeing the community come together for the less fortunate. Coach Grimm says: “Moving to the libero position last year was challenging but I think [Kate] has found her groove this season and will make a great duo at that position along with Hali.”
